Data Privacy, Digital Identity, and COVID19 Testing
Episodes 2 and 3 are live on Follow The White Rabbit
Hey Everyone,
I hope this finds you well. We just launched Episodes 2 and 3 of my podcast, Follow The White Rabbit. I’m really happy with how the show is shaping up and have had a blast building it. If you or anyone else is thinking of doing a podcast, I’m happy to share our process and some tools that I’ve used.
We’ve gone from 0 to just over 400 downloads in three weeks. For some perspective, most podcasts only get 150 downloads a month and that’s after being around for a while. So, I consider this a great start!
Episode 2: Vinny Lingham
In our second episode, we go down the rabbit hole with Vinny Lingham, South African entrepreneur and Co-founder & CEO of Civic Technologies, a company at the forefront of the digital identity revolution. He discusses his thoughts on data privacy, why we need decentralized systems to protect our identity, whether crypto can displace the dollar, and what lies ahead for entrepreneurs in the new normal.
Episode 3: Jyri Engstrom
We go down the rabbit hole with Jyri Engestrom, a partner at Yes VC, a venture capital firm that invests in startups set in motion by social movements. He shares his journey as a founder of both Jaiku and Ditto, which were acquired separately by Google and Groupon. We discuss the future of democracy, how technology affects humanity, and some recent efforts he and a few other entrepreneurs took to provide free testing for COVID-19.
If you know anyone who is working at the intersection of privacy, human rights, technology, and democracy please let me know. I’m particularly interested in interviewing activists, politicians, and law enforcement as I have a full slate of entrepreneurs and investors already.
I hope you all are well!
Best,
Alex
P.S.
